ChickTech: High School is a program created to show high school girls and non-binary students (grades 9 through 12) that tech can be fun and exciting! We’ve created a comprehensive academic year-long program that begins with a weekend-long event for a cohort of up to 150 high school students of marginalized genders.
All workshops are hands-on and project-based so that participants come out of each with a sense of accomplishment and a burst of confidence. They remain engaged and learning through follow-up workshops throughout the year.
Our program provides a fun, positive learning experience designed to build participants’ technical abilities, give them positive role models, create connections with other young women and non-binary students from the Dallas area, and create a positive association with technology creation.

“This year, my senior year, I have applied to engineering schools for college. Without having the experience of ChickTech, I wouldn’t have even thought to be interested in technology. Now I want to go to school for it.”
